celebrated BB Josh's first birthday at LC-jie's place. enjoyed myself real much. i think im really someone whose love language is quality time. i love spending time with loved ones. friends, family, etc. as long as we spend time, i guess no matter what we do, i'll really enjoy.

This is really something that I have been thinking of recently.

I just feel that's it's something important to me. In life, I do believe that we'll go through tough times and challenges. We might experience rains in life. But I feel that life is not just enduring the bitter and trying to struggle through it. But it's also about learning to dance in the rain and finding joy in all the tough places.

I really pray and hope that when I go through tough times, I will go through it with joy. Not with misery or a resentful heart but that the joy of the Lord will begin to accompany me all my days. Even in my wilderness experience.

I really do think that JOY is important. Like the x-factor that will make things feel better. :)

finished internship at Dialogue in the Dark Singapore
went through one INTENSIVE semester at Ngee Ann Poly
graduated from Ngee Ann Poly (BZSE) [finally!!]
attended and graduated from School of Theology [YAY!!!]
accepted my uni offer [gonna start uni on feb 2012 in Aus!]

pretty happening year! so now, COUNTING DOWN TO FEB 2012:

I HAVE EXACTLY 5 MONTHS AND 4 DAYS MORE!!

on a side note, was looking up on some information regarding my degree today. and i found out that i can actually take three elective modules in Geneva, Switzerland. and so happen, they are modules that im kinda interested in. may God direct my path and open up doors of opportunities for me!

okay. i know theres a lot of controversy circulating around. straits times, xin min, the Internet, whatever. and my feelings are mixed. no, its not that i dont trust the management or whatsoever. its just mixed feelings that i have.

well, on one side, im thinking that instead of trusting in man, i think its better that we trust God instead. and right here, I AM NOT saying that i dont trust the leaders. its just that i believe that there are no perfect being out there. we are only imperfect people serving a perfect God. we wont know what might happen cos everyday, there is like a constant battle in us. our minds seems to be like the battlefield between light and darkness. its a clear, fine line. and at times, its not that easy a battle to fight. and to me, i dont trust the leaders just because they are leaders. i trust them cos i believe that God will speak to them in all things. and i believe that they dont just fight the fight on their own might but with the Holy Spirit. cos its not by might nor by power but by the Holy Spirit.

so instead of blindly following, i agree with what Kenneth says, "we are loyal to our family. but that does not equates to blind loyalty". i want to defend my church. when people start saying things like "im not surprised" and "want to be rich? Set up a church, name it City Havest and misuse the funds donated by good samaritans", i'll think to myself, "please, has anyone said anything about them being guilty?! like c'mon! save your comments till there are such results (if there is gonna be any). like seriously! have they been proven guilty?! what does "investigation" means?! like really! quit putting charges and labeling people without even having proof that they are guilty. nothing is final until the last minute. and who knows, the next thing you see is an article that says my leaders are clean. well, i hope that by then, you'll not think that there was bribery or something going on under the table". seriously, seeing all these stuff and accusations just activated the bomb in me. im not against these people. just their words. i dont hate them, just the thing they say. who wants to be labelled as a criminal for a crime that has not been proven to be done by him/her?! so truly like what Ps. Eileen says, "On bended knees I come. Let those who launched the complaints be struck in their consciences and have sleepless nights till they relent. Nonetheless, they are not my enemies. They are my 'friends'".

but anyways, i believe that everything happens for a reason. and this will only lead to greater breakthroughs. so truly, all these happens so that God should be revealed in us (John 9:3). like in the past, when we are always in the spotlight for doing something different, after the valley will be the mountains. after this persecution, will come even great breakthroughs. we will be lifted up to a whole new level. i believe in Jesus' name, AMEN! so, after going through this valley experience, we will all soar to the high mountains with Him, as one family.

so in a meantime, like what Ps. Eileen says, "They (Ps. Kong and SUN) were there for us when we were in crisis. Now, let's be there for them. Whatever the outcome of the investigation, our relationship and family stays true." so truly, no matter what happens, its not about whether they are guilty or not. its the love that we have for one another. its whether or not we are by each other during this whole period and even after. its the love, not the facts or the judgement. City Harvest is my family and my home. it's where i grew up in. it helped to shape who i am today. and im staying. to fight the good fight of faith. im not gonna leave them just like that.

okay. i just need a place where i can release every thought. seriously, im pissed by the action of people trying to make you become one of them. like seriously, everyone has his/her own way of doing things. you have yours, and i have mine too. can you just let me do whatever is comfortable to me?! like seriously, i have been bearing everything and supressing everything since like a long time ago. i dont scream and shout at you. but that does not mean im frightened by you or that i agree with you. kay?! seriously, i just want to be nice and have peace. thats why im not giving you a hard time. so stop stepping on my tail. i DONT want to be you. i just wanna do what i think is right. my style not yours. so stop telling me to do things YOUR way. i dont like it. get it?! seriously. just give people space and freedom to explore. dont turn people into mini-yous. okay. whatever. verbal diarrhoea over.

okay. i think im starting to adapt to work life. hope all the emo-ing will be all over soon. haha. lame. so, work is not exactly interesting. especially when theres nothing to do and all you can do is to nua on the sofa and kun (LOL). so in some sense, i do love having things to do. then, at least you'll have something to move forward to. or else, other than nua-ing away, the other thing that you can do will be to check facebook for updates every few minutes. boring.

but there are some interesting perks occasionally though. perks like having lunch with anyu, yc and serf dropping by (yay!) and also the sms-es. fun!! heehee. so yah, other than that, unless someone in office does some entertainment, thats just it. :P

things after work. this week, some of the days are either spent with GLC or at the driving centre. monday was towning with GLC, tuesday was driving, wednesday was OT then dinner with GLC, thursday was hunting for present in town and today was nua-ing at home (wanted to go out too, but felt guilty for not spending time at home).

guess next week will be pretty fun. will be meeting penny, driving, etc. and hopefully, to get to hang out with GLC (again). hahaha. LOL.

work is vexing. VERY. and when i mean work, i mean the politics and power. not the workload. still trying to get accustom to all the things. feels weird. and lost (a little). maybe cos for the last 18 plus years, even when i worked, im not really involved in polictics, power and what not. something in me just wanna sit still, stand still and just do nothing. but then again, im told to fight. so now, i guess, its probably either fighting for to be seen or compromise and try to look for a grey area. not keen on either. especially when there seems to be a thousand and one things charging at me. SIAN.

oh ya, i injured myself today. PAIN. the interns were having the intern's challenge of the day and we were playing a game like treasure hunt in COMPLETE PITCH darkness (the game was held at where the tours are conducted for the visitors). so yah, we were literally searching for 'treasures' in the dark.

hurt my right cheekbone towards the end of the game. a big, huge, heavy board literally slammed on my right cheekbone, with its right-angled corner. could even feel the right-angled corner that hit me. SHARP. PAIN LIKE SIAO. the degree of pain can be related to years ago when i was at anyu's playground playing the monkey bar. hit my shin against the metal pole when i was trying the swing myself across (if i didnt remember wrongly). and yea, that was almost how painful it is. seriously. but then again, who ask me to put the thing down so fast?! but then again again, i cant see anything what!

just hope that there wont be any blue-blacks when i wake up tomorrow. if not, i think i'll look as though i just got into a fight and got punched at the face. JOKE.

internship has started!! since monday. haha.

some things i love about internship:

1. the environment i work in is very friendly. it's like attending school cos theres like tens of us in the same workplace (mix of people from different courses though). this made us "un-raw" quite fast, i guess.

2. the people are great. we got to know some seniors who are working there now. they'll be staying till end of next week (after passing over). and they are fun people to be with!! :D

3. we had ALOT of fun!! we're still trying to learn the ropes from the seniors. and every now and then, there will be a couple of people who will crack jokes during training and make the whole team burst out laughing!!

some things i ~~dont exactly~~ love:

1. having to try out all the posts and departments. training is actually split into departments. so you'll get to try about two departments' stuff in a day. and some parts that i dont really love are really the pre and post facilitation. dont exactly have THAT thing with strangers i guess. to me, its just weird..

2. longgg day. :S work starts from about 8.45 daily if you're not involved in the opening. will drag till about six. sometimes earlier. BUT, if youre in closing, then all the best. so yah, we arent exactly busy all day. so during the non-peaks, we'll just nua away.

3. opening and closing!! WHASEH. this part is the most ~~jialat~~ one. maintenance and pos. opening maintenance will mean that you have to reach by 8am to do all the stock takes, set up and what-nots. mad early! opening pos' a little better. you get to clock in half an hour later and just count float money for the day and all. pretty light work. closing maintenance is like opening. LOADS of s-kung. for closing pos, its ~~ultra ma-fan~~. lots of receipts to print, money to account for and paper work to be done. so all in all, the thought of opening and closing is just -_-lll. but then again, they are the essentials. :S

excited for:

1. posting! we'll know where we'll be posted to on monday!! egg-cited!!

2. handing-over. will means we officially call the shots and run DiD. fun i hope but will also means bye to most of the seniors. two will actually be staying back. so its not that bad. :P

yups, thats all so far i think. sorry for the super cui post. not really in the mood to organize it and write in paragraphs. :P

hi world! long time no updates. :P its not that im not free or got out of touch with the world, but its just that there's either just nothing much to update about or im "sian" by the thought of it!

so whats been happening?!

(1) DRIVING!

yepps! super excited at this! passed my btt on Christmas Eve (24/12) and ftt today (4/2)! super shiok! two burdens off me. and you know what, my test seat for btt on christmas eve is no.24 (co-incides with the date) and for ftt today, its no.42 (co-incides with the date and month). such a "co-incidence". but really, i was scared out of my wits during ftt today! did alot of practice beforehand but less than half came out i think! worse still, there's some questions i HAVENT even see before! my heart was pounding so fast when i was doing the test. was even thinking in my heart, "SIAO LIAO. HOW?!". was so freaked i even started praying in tougues! thankfully, passed!!:D

so now, i just gotta focus on the practical and pass it asap. I WANNA DRIVE BADLY!!

(2) PRE-INTERNSHIP!

will be having my internship interview tomorrow with DiD (Dialogue in the Dark). its quite a good choice cos first, its an international social enterprise- something i hope to venture into in future. two, its in school! so going for internship is just like going to school. three, it has got a not very formal culture. great cos im not really accustomed to the formal one. cant really imagine myself wearing formal head to toe with four-inch killer heels all day round (yet)!

so anyways, interview tomorrow. pray for me, yea?! :P pray that i know how to answer the questions correctly!

(3) PROJECTS!

this part is totally sian! loads of projects but thankfully, the last one is due this week. then off to prepare for tests and exams. as for projects, really thankful for this group of people im working with. yes, not perfect, but to me, its the best. seriously, we worked our way to where we're today. loads of miscommunication in between. but thankfully, everything worked out well. :P and also, thankful that my groupmates are all people who are "generous" (only we'll understand this part i think)! but seriously, theres alot of give-and-take to sustain the group.

(4) SHOPPING!

have been doing my cny shopping! and its pretty fruitful so far. bought quite a number of tops and the feedback for them: "why all grey one?!". well. one, cos i wanna buy clothes that i can wear after CNY. there're times where i buy very "BOOMZ" clothes and i only wear them for CNY and thats it. even worse, i didnt even wear the clothes i bought for CNY last year! changed into something i wore before last minute before leaving house! so this time, i kinda wanna buy something i can wear all the time. two, its just me luh. i kinda fell in love with shirts that are neutral (grey or white). simple and easy to match. and comfortable!:P

so, thats all for now! off to do projects!:P

its 3plus am already~ still left with a few enterprise creation chapters that i have to conquer!! but.. DISTRACTIONS!! seriously, i can sit still not, but i just cant seem to put my eyes solely on the text!! they seem to wonder off every 5 mins. facebook, blogs, youtube, etc.. HELPPP~ (:P)

i think this week is gonna be a busy week. test, projects, assignments. FLOODING. but then again, i really pray that come what may, i can face and live everyday with joy. even when it comes to meeting deadlines, God, please let me conquer them with joy. :) Your joy is my strength! and You shall make me the head and not the tail! :)

10,000 hours!!!

after svc last sunday, i cant help but to think about the 10,000 hours rule. bill gates, warren buffet, steve jobs and many more all put in more than 10,000 hours of practice to be at the top. and i thought to myself, if i start the 10,000 hours rule now, by the age of 28, maybe i'll really be somebody, have some achievement, blabla.

not a bad thought right? so now, i've to start. definitely NOT piano or violin or anything related. SIAO. by the time i practice 10,000 hours, i think i can also spend 10,000 hours in the looneyhouse. seriously, dont have that "thing" for music as much as i want to.. :P

but i've been thinking, maybe now, if i start to practice 4 hours a day on my academics, by the time i graduate from NP, maybe my grades will be "skyrocketing"? HAHA. 4.0GPA leh. why not right?

but then again, i think my greatest issue with regards to mugging is discipline. unless needed, i can hardly stay sitted on my chair and mug for more than 2 hours (i think!) thats why, everything is left till the last minute. i procrastinate!! BIG TIME!

so now, have to start forcing myself to clock in sufficient hours!! 10,000 hours rule! JIAYOU!!

think im pretty much captivated by "pianoes". almost anything that has "piano stuff" in it can catch my attention! think its really cool when someone can play the instrument really atas-ly and elegantly!! *awww* and maybe its because i know i can ~~never~~ play like they can. lets just say, i dont have gifts and talents in this area.. :P

KEKE!!

so yah, my Dad bought a "red" toy poodle for my sis, Jiawei for a "good" results. didnt really like it at first cos to me, all i want is a Labrador retriever! but have grown to love it after seeing how well behaved (well, quite) it is.. :P it's a mild temper i guess, and it's pretty tame and smart (pretty..). :P

we named her CoCo (KeKe) after MoMo and YoYo. HAHA. :P

i think this is her favourite pastime- sleeping on you!! she loves to walk near you and just put her chin on your leg or lap and sleep!!

i think she really bought joy to our family.. and taught us patience! although she is pretty smart, but afterall, shes not human. she cant understand instructions as well as we do. so there are some things we have to be (pretty) patient with her (especially toilet training). but then again, shes pretty well trained already (i guess!). and the best thing- my mom who used to be a dog hater (especially after MoMo and YoYo) started loving her! she'd pat her, clean her poo, etc. and now, it seems like she cant stop singing praises of her!!

so all in all, really happy to have KeKe in our family!! :D

korean food day!! yeah, man! finally after so long.. have been craving for it BIGGGGG time!! Daddy bought us to a korean restaurant near haw-par-villa (if thats how it should be spelt). suuuper expensive but thats probably all we have in spore.. :P

Awesome fruitful day!! Went to ION and did some massive damages. Bought a new cap, jacket, tops, shoes, makeup and some nail polishes.

Bought the nail polishes at MAC@sephora. But I have to say that the services there really CMI. Seriously, I do feel that they're services are lousy. Like as though you have to buy all their products before they treat you respectfully.

Shu uemura on the other hand is soooo much better. The salesgirl treats you nicely even when you don't spend alot there. Their services seriously makes you feel that the extra amount you spend is worthwhile.

Afterall, I'd rather spend more money on better services than to torture myself with bad services and let those people earn.

Okay. Haha. That's all. Hopefully I'll post some pics on the spree. Heehee. :p

20th ANNIVERSARY WAS AWESOMEEEEEEE!

hahaha. yes, it truly was. loads of crying, cheering and laughing. i love city harvest. my home since i was eleven. i came, stayed and never wanted to leave. i dont know whats in for the next 20 years. i dont know what i myself might even face. but one thing i know, for as long as i live, i wanna make the choice to stay in this family. easy to say, but when trials come, i really wanna stand strong. i wanna stay in this house i call home. i wanna do more, love more, and be enlarged. i want so much more than what i have now. and i wanna be able to say that i still love God 20 years down the road and even more. it was awesome seeing the pioneers and hearing about the initial days. their faith through the years is a real blessing and encouragement to me. i grew up in church and now, i wanna grow old in church. i love You, God. thank You for CHC. truly, in this house, dreams are realized and success is celebrated!

oh God, let me love more and do more for You. i wanna be part of Your army- the new generation. bring us to places we have never been before, God. the next 20 years. it will be a blast. truly, You loved us way before all these things existed. and even if these havent come to pass, You will still love us. went for some outdoor shoots yesterday cos i had to hand in some photography assignment to the lecturer today. after taking shots around my place, i decided to walk to railmall to take the railway tracks. pretty nice, eh? haha. on the way, got a surprise attack by joshua and ronny. appeared that they were skating around. josh came behind me and said in a husky voice, "excuse me." seriously, FREAK HIM. i got a great big shock cos i was intensely listening to music and daydreaming. and suddenly someone came so near me and said excuse me. i freaked. serious. i thought someone wanted to kidnap me or something. joke but really! haha.

so after that, continued to walk towards railmall. took some pics and the price to pay:

and i didnt even notice until it bit the last bite! joke man. seriously. cos i thought it was just the grass or something cos there are occasions when i sit on the grass or stuff like that and i'll itch. so as usual, i didnt pay much attention until it started itching like mad. SUPER ITCHY. and swollen now. lol. the lecturer even got a shock when he saw all the bites on my legs. even took a photo of them. haha.

but then again, it was pretty fun taking pics at rail way track. and just less that 3 mins after i got off the track, the train came. almost. if i had stayed longer... -honks and byebye- haha. just joking.

finally, cg resumed after five long weeks of break (cos of SOS series). pretty great. :)

i wont say worship is awesome cos i know it's not exactly. i know i can do much better in plenty of areas. but i'll definitely say that it's a good start. at least it's better than i thought. technically, nothing much went wrong. but in the Spirit, i know i can be more focused on Him.

but seriously, i was nervous beyond comprehension. that being my first attempt, i was shaking and all. my hands went so icy cold after everything that liyee got a shock. :P it's just like what happened when i first did praise. :l

but if you ask, id say worship is much easier than praise. i dont know why. somehow to me, it is. :P

i will improve. for Him, i will. :)

but still, gotta thank God for everything. couldnt have done it by my own. i know where i stand. it's truly by God's grace. :)

today's pretty eventful... :)

everything started at 2am when i made agar agar and cupcakes all the way to 7am. TIRING! and i realized baking is really no mean feat! :P took a short nap and bathed after that before going out for the massage appointment and events after that.

went to the massage and i really love it! the malay lady is really good (massage was really comfortable!), professional too! before the whole session, she actually did a check on blood pressure, etc. and she told me a really frightening news! I HAVE LIGAMENT TEAR! oh man. got it from the workouts at gyms after "spraining" my ankle. and i think i have to stop workout for a while now so that the ligament can heal. :S

after the massage, went for botanic garden for e2/3 gathering. took a lot of pics together and had fun picnic-ing. i ate alot. (OH NO!) pics are uploaded at facebook. so im lazy to upload too much here. :P after botanic, penny, huifang, ruyi and i went to bras basah for a while then off to peranakan museum (without ruyi). good for heritage learning, but the photos of the peranakan people really gives me the creeps. its free for NP and some other school students. so for penny, huifang and i, we entered free! haha.

went over to fort canning park for a short walk after that then off to raffles city for some shopping and dinner. finally bought my mac blusher and i got a top with penny too. (happy!) but the dinner was yucky! it was the worst unagi ive ever tasted in my whole entire life! -YUCKS!- went walking around for a short while after that before going home.

it's really amazing how some friendships are like fire to me.

i start by wanting to draw close to it, to be friends. and when i come too near, i feel the heat too much and draw away from it.

im starting to see that as my weakness. cos these are times that really makes me feel that i have conflicting personalities and i dont know what i truly want. i wanna make friends, yet, when i feel that its too much, i draw back and try to shut myself out as much as i can.

im really thankful that these only happens to some of the friendships that i have. if not, i think i'd already be an anti-social.

im back!!!

hahaha. was in CK zone youth camp since wednesday. this year's camp felt different. not because of the events (in fact it was pretty good), but because unlike the previous years, im serving this time. it feels different to be serving. and to me, it feels good. :) cos i know deep in my heart, everything i did during the camp, if its not for God's strength and the Holy Spirit, it would have been impossible. im not underestimating myself. i know where i stand in terms of my photography skills. so much so to the extent, i was praying while taking pictures! abit jialat right? but thats really true. so really thank God, cos i know that while i served, im also drawing closer to Him, to rely on Him more. Praise God! :D

i think this time round, everything came out "smoother". i was more daring in taking pics. cos in the previous camp i helped out in, i was like a vase. literally! previously (which is not more than 2 months ago), i had to take the same thing for at least 5 times in order to have a decent looking one. but this time, everything was good. once or twice and im done with the shot. so really thank God.

the weather was good too. feels like the sun's shining at 40 degrees. it was so HOT! and imagine me running all over the place with my pretty heavy cam round my neck. FREE WORKOUT! hahaha. so i think i slimmed down quite a bit. and got tanner too. my face got so dark that i got a shock when i looked in the mirror just now. and my feet had my slippers tan line. :P

but all in all, it was good. the experience with God, the serving, the knowing more people from the zone, etc. i had a great time indeed!

oh and, we made history! hahaha. we broke the singapore's Guiness book or records for making the biggest youth olympics logo with 2010 huge lightsticks! the whole thing started at 2010pm with the passing the torch, lighting the fire and all. and strikeforce was there too! they played such an awesome job that they reminded me of God's army ready to march out. they gave me goosebumps while i was watching and taking pics at the 4th level. :P the thing will go up on the media i think. and i know everything will be awesome! :) looking forward to more things to come!

fruits of giving! :D

extremely thankful and excited now. just came back from a night out with my fam (went to s1 before that).

truly, when we love Him by giving with a willing, obedient and cheerful heart, His blessings will begin to pour.

was in s1 just now when i felt so challenged to give beyond what i planned. and in the course of it, suddenly, my mind went "wha, sian." stunned, seriously. how can i think this way?! and immediately, the time to make a stand. to me, at that moment, its not just about obedience. i know i can obey and give it. but the thing is that when i make the decision to give, i wanna make sure that its out of a willing and cheerful heart. not giving out of fear but out of love.

and truly, its not that amount that mattered to God, but the decision made. to give willingly, obediently and cheerfully out of love. and yes, like what Pastor said during SOS, our victory is done in secret, step by step. and every step we go, we get nearer to Him.

almost instantly, i received the blessing! :D

went and meet my fam. we had dinner at some outdoor place at esplanade. then went in for a little walk since movie was at 9pm@marina. went into the guitar shop there. and was blessed with an acoustic guitar that cost more than fifteen times of what i gave Him. the guitar came in a whole package together with a tuner, picks, pick guards and a guitar bag.

so, on thursday, instead of spending one whole boring day studying at home for common test........

WE WENT TO ECP!!!

hahaha, yes, we went to ECP. with ah gong, ah ma, piglet, jiawei and gladys. how shiok! hee. but on our way there, the two little girls literally talked like loudspeakers! the whole way there! it was torture! dad saw from his iPhone the night before and said that it would rain. but i guess, a short prayer before setting off works. ;)

and so, as usual, we went makaning at the foodcourt, cycling (this time for 2 hours), building sandcastles (the little girls) and playing with the...waves. the tide was super high and pig and i were literally standing near the sea, waiting for the waves to come and enjoying the sensation when the HUGE waves break at our legs. they was so high that they went all the way up to almost our waist! at some point, we even chase after the waves, run over to where they'll break and stand in front of them to let them break on us. felt as though we were breakwaters. :P and in the end, pig and i were thoroughly wet from waist down. fun though. :) good relaxation! haha.

we waited till it was 6pm before we went back cos i wanted to buy kennyrogers (opens at 6pm). went to buy pau at tanjong rhu after that and headed home. what a nice day (think it's extra nice to gladys cos she learnt cycling!)! :D

that FINMGT common test will really be on either mon on tues. even if that will means that i will have to chiong like siao during the weekends as compared to it being on the end of the week like on thurs and fri. best is all common tests end by wed so that i can concentrate and fully enjoy youth camp. dont want the common tests to be my constant worry or to be at the back of my mind throughout the camp! i want them out of my mind asap! (haha!)

so that also means i have to start mugging today instead of pushing it to the end of the week.

things to mug:

FINMGT- whatever the lecturer taught, formulas (which till now i still have not much of an idea :S).

ECONS- microecons recap, GDP, fiscal policy, monetary policy, money multiplier, etc. (know what it is about generally, but have to revise to be able to explain and elaborate during common test.)

HRM- whatever the lecturer taught (which i also dont have much of an idea, BUT the good thing is, HRM can use common sense. :D)

ironically, HRM seems most hopeful. :l

are my expectations set too high?!

sometimes, when i come to think of it, i feel that i have set too high an expectation on my fellow group members. so much so that i even pity them for having such a member who stress them so much? why will i say so? cos in my management of things, i realized that im a person who dont except excuses or extending deadlines. cos to me, if you cant get the things done, thats it. theres no need for any explanation, cos it all points down to excuses to me. like if youre late, you dont have to tell me stories of why you overslept, how you got stuck in a jam, etc. cos at the end of the day, they are still excuses and i'll end up thinking that the person hasnt done his/her best. and when it comes to deadline, yes i can extend it abit. but when its extended once, thats it. i think thats my limit. to me, no matter how busy you are or have been, you just got to get it done. you can play and do whatever you want during the course of time, just give me the things i need by the deadline. nothing else. sounds bad, huh? its not that i am targeting them or stuff. theyre my friends. i do love them. and i can joke with them like theres no tomorrow. but its just that when work is involved, i tend to set high expectations. am i really too strict?

just came back from expo svc 2. rev. dr. kim sung hae! heehee. ive got to say that this time round, i was able to take in more impartation! instead of last year when i ended up trying to figure out the accent, i was able to receive and understand really well.

also, i think the sermon really went into my heart. i would say its really different from the rest. cos normally, i would just take in the sermon like some information, but this time, her sermon really stirred me up. and when she was preaching, i just felt something burning within me. making me really excited to experience it! :) truly, when we open our mouths and ask from God, He'll begin to pour us with love, strong faith, MIRACLES, and abundance! (wow, this is the first time i can type out the points without referring to the notebook!) guess the message really went into my heart! really blessed by the message! praise GOD! :D

actually, i love all pieces played with the piano. i think since a long long long time ago, i had this thing for piano. it calms me down, makes me feel peaceful and settled. but sadly, i dont have the gifting for it. i always imagine myself playing like a pro, but in actual fact, i can hardly coordinate my hands. they play like they belong to two separate worlds. maybe thats the hint that tells me that im not that inclined towards this area. :l

went for svc 1 today cos dad's back in spore. :) and the preacher this week is dr. stephan munsey. boy, hes awesome! hahaha. he has a pretty wife too! VERY pretty. blonde, looks young and hot. -jaws drop- haha. his sermon is very different. very very very different indeed. throughout the whole sermon, i only took down two lines of notes. the starting verse (2 cor 5:14-20) and "love is a choice". thats it. why?! cos he preached everything out by ACTING! he was literally acting the whole sermon out on stage. wow! the sermon's actually called "love on the rebound". great message. really touching. i dont mind seeing it over and over again. hes great! hope to have him back again! :D and for last easter, his church bought in live camels, horses and all for their easter outreach that lasted a month! phenomenon! hope to have him back again! :D

i believe in teaching with love rather than with fierce, indifference and loveless remarks. thats all i can say. i just feel that no matter what the circumstances are, you still have to set aside time and all else and place the kid first. and you dont treat the kid with indifference as if its no big deal when shes already freaking her tears out. if not, how on earth can the kid feel secure? or better still, how on earth is this action gonna be a positive example? she'll probably end up doing the same thing you did or even worse still, grow up with resentment because you didnt really empathize with her or at least try to make her feel better.

you dont get things done by making her fear you, you do it by love.

in any case, thats just not the way i wanna deal with it. period. but of course, ultimately, we learn, change and improve from our mistakes and from one another. and thats not the end. :)

finally blogging again! hahaha. feels like ages!

rev. dr. john avanzini's svc was great. and im really believing that blessings will really start pouring when i embrace the right attitude towards it! :D

regarding school, assignments are starting to come in. theres already three that has to be handed in within the next two weeks. jiayou man! need to chiong!... and to stop ponning lessons! have been missing 9am lessons for TWO consecutive days! i think i'll go bonks soon. jiayou, Shine! gotta sleep and wake up earlier! :D and, i tried leaving my lappy friend at home today and the conclusion is: I ALMOST DIED WITHOUT IT! school's so boring without my dear lappy! so from tomorrow onwards, no matter how heavy my dear lappy is, im gonna bring it to school! confirm must bring! :P

regarding health, have not been feeling exactly well. nose block and itchy throat. feels so uneasy. heehee. gotta take better care of myself. :P

regarding family, my paternal grandmom's bday is coming up! this coming sunday! hahaha. 86th bday if im not wrong. heehee. and the best part... BUFFET LUNCH WITH ALL MY FAVOURITE FOOD! hahaha. why? cos i helped in giving ideas on what to order! hahaha. alot alot alot of good food! CHICKEN RICE BALLS! SHARKSFIN! chicken wings, steamed chicken, "tie ban dou fu", satay, veg with SCALLOPS smoked salmon, grass jelly, and many many more! hahaha. sooooo looking forward to it! im gonna make sure i reach earlier to eat my heart out! hahaha! hopefully. :P

regarding friends, i dont know. sometimes, im just afraid of crossing the line and i'll end up retreating instead. its not that i dont want to care, but i just dont want to go over the line and end up in some mess. just say im scared. maybe i really am. once the fear of crossing the line sets in, i think all i'll do is to become so freaked out that i'll start running away. i fear, i just want to protect myself from things i dont want to get into. but that does not imply that i dont care at all. okay, whatever.

my house looks like 2 separate houses now that my parents did a small renovation and created another room from the study area. the sliding door separates the girls' rooms from the adults', living, dining and cooking area. and it makes me feel as though im living in a studio apartment with my sisters only. will upload pics soon. :)
